This is the template that you MUST use when creating a faction. Now, before you start reading on this, I want to kind of explain the purpose of a faction. A faction is something similar to a clan, a group of people with a united purpose. It could be just about anything, and it is mostly just to help influence the feeling that you can basically do just about anything on this site. With that said, remember, once you create the faction, you are responsible for keeping the roster updated. You will be the primary contact for joining the faction, not staff. With that explained, lets move on.
Name: Put simply, this is the name for your faction. Easy, right?
Purpose: This is where you state their reason for existing. Do they hunt human? Do they hate robots? Do they do anything in particular that sets them apart from the crowd? What makes them a faction? This doesn't have to be lengthy, just explained well enough that it doesn't get confused later.
Head Quarters: This is where they call home, where they keep their base of operations. If they don't have one, simply explain that they are nomadic, traveling. If you have a thread created for their Head Quarters, please paste the link at the end of this section, so that potential members can be directed to the HQ without having any kind of confusion.
Characteristics: What type of mannerisms do the faction share that distinguish them? What type of clothing do they typically wear? Is there a structure to the group? Just the basics of these would give a general idea on how they act, look, and interact with others so that others can get a good general idea of how to either NPC them or to join them.
Caste: This is the description of how the faction is divided up. Each rank should be explained in enough detail so that others know how to move up in the ranks. Include a process of moving up if you want, or just a general idea of how to advance. If advancement is not possible, due to reasons of birth right and the like, explain that as well.
Roster: This is the list of members who have been in the faction in the past or are currently part of the faction. You can format this section how you see fit. Just remember, this is both a statement of your faction's activity, as well as for your records for whoever is part of the faction. There will be a recommended code for how to add people to your roster listed beneath the required template. Use it if you want.
